I know your deepest, darkest Secret, I know who you are....Bruce Wayne...

Batman Arkham City

"Look at those piercing blues..."

BATMAN has come a long way from the 1950's american Hit TV show where we enjoyed seeing Batman and his side kick fight of the weekly 'scum bags'...and we all enjoyed the over used 'Pows' 'Biffs' 'Splats' whenever there was a fight (Don't you just love 50's special affects).

I tip my hat to the fearsome duo - Adam West and Burt Ward for bringing us the delights of Batman, for without this wonderful cheesy 50's TV show, we would not have had the films and games.

Talking of games, August 28th 2009 brought us Batman: Arkham Asylum - this was undoubtable the best game of 2009 and thankfully - the critics agreed and gave it Game of the Year. Playing AA was a joy graphically and a massive joy to play thanks to the indepth story, the intuitive control system and ultimately, the character interaction with Mr Wayne and also, each other - Yes, I really did pay that much attention to the nice groups of thugs walking around chatting about life.

"Clearly they are just misunderstood"

2009 also introduced back to the franchise - Joker who was pixel perfect, along with jokers girlfriend, play thing - Harley Quinn along with a mix of other down right dastardly foes. The game was BRILLIANT, unquestionably perfect.

"I just don't know what Joker sees in her"

2011 brings the sequel - Batman: Arkham City - who would of thought changing just one word since the original would produce such excitement and tension all at the same time to gamers and critics alike around the world.

Why tension? I will tell you why.

Arkham Asylum was pretty much a perfect Batman game, even down to the 'feel' of the asylum as you stealthly navigated your leather clad Knight around..

Arkham City is the tough second album that all game makers / artists alike dread. WILL IT LIVE UP THE HYPE or will it sink to the bottom of the Gotham river, never to been seen or talked about it again?

From the press releases, the teaser videos and the pre-release artwork, I would say, Arkham City is going to be Batman's finest hour.

With a new villain, Hugo Strange and his elite henchmen, Bruce Wayne has his work very much cut out for him on his next tour of Arkham - Lets just hope we get to drive the ultimate geek mobile after the Delorean - the Bat Mobile.

Another exciting bit of news that just makes the wait and expectancy for this game even higher is that news that catwomen, yes CATWOMEN, is going to show her purrdy little face around the mean streets of Arkham. Lets hope her cat fighting skills are still up to scratch.

"Batman...I'm up here...stop staring at my chest"

As you can clearly tell from my subtle writing style, I am very VERY excited and nervous for this game. Lets just hope the developers 'Rocksteady' do the sequel justice and make Bruce Wayne and fans alike proud to step into the bats boots once again.

I will leave you now, as I sometimes do with another teaser video of Arkham City - Enjoy!

"Tune in next time viewers — same Bat-time, same Bat-channel!"

"We're going home Miss Kitty if i have to drag you there myself"
